Lake Road Basement

The Krueger Group completed the basement build-out of this distinctive Lake Road residence in Bay Village, Ohio. Built earlier in the decade by another builder on an outcropping along the shores of Lake Erie, the basement was left unfinished until ownership changed hands.

Determined to build a space that reflected the owner’s style while adding features that complement the aesthetic of the home, we went about creating a space that was equal parts form and function.

Finish features include:

• Premium light and plumbing fixtures.
• Crown molding at entire basement.
• Custom cabinetry.
• Tile wrapped arched entrance to wine tasting room finished with cork tile feature wall.
• Engineered wood flooring.

In addition to adding a guest suite with full a bathroom, the build-out included the following:

• 10-person movie screening room, out of site behind a custom-built sliding barn door.
• Wine tasting room.
• Wet bar.
• Billiards and shuffleboard table.
• A full bathroom with steam shower.
