Lakewood Shoreline Renovation

In order to alleviate the constant exposure to erosion on the shores of Lake Erie, the homeowners at this 3-home lakefront community in Lakewood, Ohio looked to The Krueger Group to complete the installation of a Redi-Rock precast concrete wall system.  When complete, the 5-story wall consisted of nearly 500 blocks, 66 steps and 45 caps.

Design features that were incorporated into the wall system include the following:

• Stainless steel and tension cable railing system at stairs and decks.
• Synthetic turf putting green.
• Full precast paver stone patio with gas fire pit
• Concrete pier with 22’ x 22’ x 27’ high boat storage garage.
• 1-1/2 Ton davit with power pivot.

Additionally, taking advantage of the opportunity, a 600+ square feet private get away was built into the wall system with finish details that include:

• Full kitchen.
• Loft with wrought iron spindles and oak railing and balusters.
• Full bathroom.
• Direct vent gas fireplace.
• Stained wood crown.
• Stained wood wrapped beams.
• Walk-out deck.
