ClientStonebrook Montessori School

Facilitating the vision to bring free Montessori education to Cleveland’s East Side, The Krueger Group was entrusted with the renovation of the 40,000-square-foot Amasa Stone House for the new Stonebrook Montessori School. Originally built in 1930 by industrialist Samuel Mather and named after Amasa Stone, the building is located in Cleveland’s Glennville neighborhood. It formerly served as a senior living facility until its closure in 2004, remaining vacant until 2014.

The building now houses 13 classrooms, providing space for up to 300 students, ranging from pre-primary to 6th grade. This renovation stands as a testament to the transformative power of adaptive reuse, breathing new life into a historic structure and revitalizing the surrounding neighborhood.

Key features of the renovated facility include:

  • A spacious multi-purpose room.
  • A dedicated movement room.
  • Art and music rooms to foster creativity.
  • A fully equipped learning kitchen.
  • A full-service kitchen with professional-grade equipment.
