“Blessed is the person who sees the need, recognizes the responsibility, and actively becomes the answer.” — Wm. Ward 1921
Nearly 50 years of hard work, creativity and determination have led to the company we see today; a construction partner relentlessly focused on doing what is in the client’s best interest. Known as Krueger Grealis & Associates until partner Pete Grealis’ retirement in 2011, The Krueger Group has continued to grow in reputation and experience since it was founded by the two good friends in 1978.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Bob Krueger began his career as a union pipe coverer, but quickly set his sights on real estate in his early 20’s. With a young wife and big hopes for their future, he made the risky decision to work for himself. Though he’d focused on political science at Kent State University, the world of real estate, construction and what would come to be his specialty, design/build, had a strong innate pull.
Soon their reputation for quality grew, and other opportunities began to arise. The company moved into the non-profit and commercial realms, tackling projects from educational structures and learning environments, and more recently, expansive and elaborate office spaces and upscale residential renovations.
Now, as Chairman of The Krueger Group, Bob remains a steadfast and innovative leader, involved in all aspects of his business. He is focused on what his clients want and expect and operates his life and business from a foundation of integrity and mindful service.
His grown children continue his legacy. In addition to his son Dan and Bobby having joined The Krueger Group in 2009 and 2019 respectively, his daughter Elizabeth Krueger is owner of Elizabeth Krueger Designs. Daughter Molly is a probation officer for Cuyahoga County.
Outside of his professional life, Robert is a licensed pilot, experienced alpine mountaineer, a Dale Carnegie graduate and has served as a board member for Youth Challenge, Ruffing Montessori School, and Montessori High School at University Circle. Otherwise, you can usually find Bob and his wife of 49-years doting on their (7) grandchildren who they absolutely adore.
