For the first marijuana dispensary in Sandusky, Ohio, Standard Wellness looked to TKG to design and deliver their flagship dispensary, The Forest. The fast-tracked project was conceived and delivered in 5 months, allowing Standard Wellness to make the first legal sale of medical marijuana in the state of Ohio.
Unique exterior and interior elements and finish details include:
- Painted varying exposure horizontal Hardie Plank lap siding.
- Masonry feature wall and live grow wall.
- Open ceiling design painted out black with sleek lighting at main retail area.
- Cabinetry with reclaimed wood accents and quartz and glass countertops at display cases.
- Polished concrete floors.
Security features include:
- Hurricane proof storefront glass systems at main entry elevations.
- Secure delivery port with electronic sliding gate and 10’ high horizontal 2″ x 8″ cedar plank fence.
- Built-in cash safe secured to an isolated foundation.
- Secure check-in behind bullet proof glass off entry vestibule.
- High strength barrier mesh installed between studs and finish drywall throughout building.
Additionally, included in the scope of work was the installation of a (31) car asphalt parking lot.
